Course Overview

This five days seminar is intended for engineers and technicians involved in electrical and mechanical valves and actuators control, and a data acquisition system which is supervising valves and actuators.

The course can be used as an introduction to the field of valves and actuators instrumentation and control for those who are interested to work in this area.

Course Objective

The course presents a systematic approach to the basics of control valves and actuators, types, function, and classification. It first adopts a general approach to the linear and rotary motion type of control valves and their use of instruments. The primary and secondary valves trim will be introduced and explained. Then it explains what is meant by fluid flow construction, operation, different types, and its use in different electrical utilities is presented with many applications.
