Course Overview

Evacuation of buildings upon sounding of the fire alarm is vital to the safety of the occupants. Many people consider the sounding of an alarm a nuisance and assume that all alarms are accidental or a system malfunction. They also tend to assume that, if there were a fire, once seen, there would be sufficient time to get out.

In addition to, employees shall be instructed in the proper procedures for preventing fires in the conduct of their assigned duties. It is essential that, they must be familiar with the principles involved in providing and maintaining adequate means of escape.
