Course Objective
- Develop key risk based project management principals and clearly define the role of Quality Control in shutdown management
- Clearly define, develop and plan the scope of a shutdown
- Effectively plan your shutdown utilizing flowcharting techniques and Gantt charts to map out shutdown activities, i.e. define milestones, predecessors and successor relationships
- Apply critical path to ensure your shutdown runs on time and on budget managing the major shutdown variables, constraints and risks during the implementation phase
- Manage your suppliers and contractors effectively
Who Should Attend??
This course is intended for plant short term and long term (shutdown) managers, planners, foremen and contractor staff, who are involved in the planning, co-ordination and execution of plant shutdowns. The workshop is especially valuable for shutdown managers and co-coordinators, planning/managing and cost control staff, construction supervisors, project engineers and contract administrators. Participation from inspection, materials, safety and maintenance engineering is also encouraged
